: Templeton FFA Grapevine Pruning Team Competes at State Finals

Templeton, California-February 7, 2012-  The Templeton FFA Grapevine Pruning team recently competed in the 2012 Mid-Winter Judging Finals held at Fresno State University.  Team members include Sara Hall, Mikaela Polster, Kris Rickard, Kayla Welcher, and Jordan Williams. 

The team placed 7th overall in the state of California.  Freshman Kris Rickard was named the high individual in cane pruning.  The team is coached by Paso Robles High School graduate Afton Sawyer and San Luis Obispo High School Graduate and Templeton High School Agriculture Teacher Erin Thompson.

FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.
