The Salmon FFA Chapter held its
annual after school official opening
ceremony meeting December 1, in
Advisor Katie Cooper’s agricultural
classroom.
There were 14 members and two
guests in attendance. The Chapter
discussed the program of activities
(POA), members signed up to be on
several of committees. The POA is
a list that helps Chapters develop
and set goals, it then outlines steps
in order to complete the goals set
by that Chapter.
It also provides a written guide
to members and other participants
with a calendar of events that will
take place in that year. The POA also
emphasizes on student, chapter and
community development; this encourages
members to grow as individuals,
how to work with a team
and how to serve others.
The Harvest Festival Dance is
now moved to January 14. The
change had to take place because of
football. A name change is in store
for the dance and a committee was
also assigned for advertising and organizing
final details.
Tupperware sales are going to
continue until December 9. Contact
