King City FFA Hosts Public Speaking Events

Public Speaking was Wednesday December 7th as the whole FFA section met here at King City High School. The public speakers for Exempt were Brooke Taylor, Dominique Mantel, and Tahnee Bray. Prepared Public Speakers were Nicole Hardoy, Sydney Torres, and Alyssa Ibarra. A new contest started this year, impromptu, which, Taylor Hurley, Milly Desai and Devon Rusconi competed in.

After everyone competed the awards were given out at the end. Out of 25 Creed speakers, top ten got to move on to Regionals and Bailee Rusconi was one of those ten. For Prepared Speakers Sydney Torres place 3rd, Alyssa Ibarra placed 2nd, and Nicole Hardoy placed 1st. Nicole and Alyssa get to move on to Regionals. In the Exempt competition, Tahnee Bray placed 3rd and Dominique Mantel placed 5ht. Dominique will move on to Regionals. In Impromptu, Milly Desai placed 7th, Devon Rusconi placed 4th, and Taylor Hurley placed 3rd. Devon and Taylor will move on to Regionals.

King City did very well in FFA Public Speaking competition. Many of the competitors placed and our moving on to Regionals. . Thank you to all who helped and  to the teachers who judged. Congratulations to all who competed.
